The model can provide precise bounding box coordinates and object classification for each detected object by analysing video frames captured from traffic cameras. The model is specifically trained to identify cars emitting smoke from their tires, a tell-tale sign of hooning behaviour, such as standing or rolling burnouts and doughnuts.

The model is fine-tuned from the COCO checkpoint, a widely used dataset for object detection, to achieve optimal performance and accuracy. This AI model is invaluable with its real-time detection capabilities and carefully selected feature post-processing for detecting and preventing dangerous driving behaviour on our roads.
